Access control is nothing new, but iLOQ have come up with something that really piqued our interest
We know there are challenges to controlling access in certain locations, and these guys have solved them!
Here's how....
No Batteries, No Cabling.
Centralised Management
Works Anywhere
That's right. If you have a lock that more than one person needs access to, you have a problem.
Keys get lost. Keys get copied. Keys get stolen.
Once that happens the lock is compromised. It's the same with combination locks too. People don't remember the codes, so they write them down. On paper, on their phones, even on the door frames next to the lock itself!
Replacing locks is expensive, especially if you want to replace it with good quality mechanisms. If one set of keys is lost, chances are there will be several locks to change.
If you fit iLOQ barrels and padlocks, those problems are solved! Grant and revoke access to specific keys or users so that if they get lost you can instantly disable them. Your lock remains uncompromised.
There's only so much you can find out from a website, and you probably don't want to spend hours reading, so get in touch and we'll bring our demo kit to you!
A master keyed system is beneficial when managing lots of locks. It means that certain keys can have access to multiple doors. Without a master keyed system, there would be far too many keys to manage.
Even with a master keyed system, working out who has master, submaster or standard access keys is an administrative nightmare. Every key needs to be logged and documented. If one gets lost or stolen then you need to consider replacing multiple (or all) lock cylinders and distribute new keys.
iLOQ removes all of that administration by using a centralised management system. You can see which user has access to which doors (or door groups) at the click of a button, and add/remove access to locks right there!
Giving out the codes for combination locks instantly compromises them. If an employee leaves you need to go around and reset them. If someone writes the code on the wall next to it, the thing is useless.
iLOQ smart locks and padlocks don't use combinations. They use technology. Battery free, smart technology.
Granting subcontractors access for specific periods means there's no need for signing keys in and out, assinging keyholders, or issues with access out of hours.
Simply grant them access in the centralised management software and specify the duration. They can then use the iLOQ app on their mobile device to open up where they need to.
Because iLOQ locks use kinetic energy or NFC from your phone, there's no need for batteries! That means there's no need to monitor battery charge, and no site visits because they've run out!
The action of entering the key into the mechanism powers the lock. Smart, sustainable and maintenance free!
iLOQ 5 Series is made up of two ranges. The S5 with physical smart keys, and the S50 using smart phones and NFC fobs. Both managed by the iLOQ 5 series management software, you can combine products from both ranges to form a secure access control system for your business, buildings and facilities easily.
A smart solution for physical keys and locks. The S5 series is perfect for controlling access to store rooms, risers, compounds and more!
A physical "key" programmed with with your access rights, powers the lock and updates it's access list at the same time. Security is only ever one key insertion away from being renewed. Reducing the administration of master keys and key sets helps save time

Utilising Near Field Communication (NFC) on mobile devices or fobs to power and open locks.
Security information is sent over the airwaves and updated into every lock as soon as you present it. With a host of features such as time limited entry, calendar control and AES-256 security, this is perfect for remote applications and ever changing access requirments.
